Men are very conscious about their dressing related culture or trend. Men wear shalwar kameez, waistcoat, kurta, sherwani, churidar, jama, pajama, khussa and peshawai chappal.There are many different items include traditional shawls made of Pashmina or other warm materials especially in the Northern regions of KPK. Every province has a different and unique cultural dress which is mostly followed by the tradition. The tradition male Khyber pakhtunkhawa culture dress are

Perahan Tunban:

Traditionally, the Perahan tunban is male dress. It is worn as a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa culture dress. The Perahan tunban ia a kind of version of the shalwar kameez, which is comprised of the Perahan.  The Perahan Tunban is wide, pedndent from the arms and loose with the sleeves, and falls to the knees. The old tradition the style of Perahan buttons on either shoulder or collarless but the modern styles open to the front and tunban is loose and hanging. Different styles of tunban have many folds accumulated into plaits. The folds have been at the lower part of the legs, below the knees to the ankles. The latest versions of tunban are less baggy.

Pakol:

 It is rounded topped hat made up of soft wool. It is used by the male. Male person have to wear pakol, it require rolling from side to form a band which help to rest it on the head just like cap. It represents the Khyber Pakhtunkhawa culture dress. It can be wear in different colors like brown, black and gray etc for pakol.

Choga:

The choga is an outer robe with sleeves. It is commonly made of soft woollen material. The choga is traditionally worn in Afghanistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa culture dress. There are different kinds of choga which is made by the use of various animal skin. The choga is made of camel’s hair is called shaturi. The choga made with wool of rufus-woolled sheep is called baruki choga. The choga made with highland goat’s wool is called kurki choga. Other expensive chogas are made with various coarse materialsThe Kabuli pashum is the choga made with the fleece of dumba, fat-tailed sheep of Peshawar and Kabul. The fleece produces with good quality material.

Chitrali cap:

The Chitrali cap is made of woollen cloth.  It comprises of a flat crown with a rolled edge. The cap is popular in Afghanistan. It is concidered most important part that it remains in great demand in the twin cities especially during the cold winter.  Such is the demand that making of the Chitrali cap has become an industry in itself in Chitral where women wash sheep wool strands and then turn them into threads by using manual method and mechanized machines.

Turban:

The turban is also known as the dastar which can be voluminous and long. The Pashtun headgear is ordinarily a cap often with a turban (pagray) folded over it. It is one of the Khyber Pakhtunkhawa culture dress. The caps are open in front like Baluchi caps. Whenever an important guest, especially politicians, drops in, the hosts present him the local turban as a respect.

Khat Partug:

The traditional clothing for the lower region is the khat partug which is a shalwar kameez. This combination is worn by both men and women. The khat is also known as khattaki or in marwat pashtun,and kemis. It is the shirt which fits closely to the body to the waist and then flares out either to the knees. The partug is a loose shalwar which has many folds and is lossely brought together at the ankles. Men also wear turban and scarf called patkai.

Female dresses:

Ladies and girls of KPK wear traditional long dresses with a light piece of fabric used to cover their hair. The female of kpk wear strong bright-coloured trousers and a long shirt with a belt. Sometimes they will wear a shuttlecock burqa over this outfit.

Fancier dresses:

 Fancier dresses are made with gold threading, gold beads, and come in many different colours on silk fabrics. These dresses are usually worn to special events and weddings along with beautiful handmade jeweler.

Firaq Partug:

The old name of this style of dress is khat. It is also known as the firaq which forms the firaq partug as outfit. It is a Khyber Pakhtunkhawa culture dress. The khat worn by women can be elaborately embroidered with needle work begin from neck. There are two types of female khat, first is the jalana khat and the giradana khat. The jalana khat is worn by unmarried women which is loose and traditionally of print design. The giradana khat is worn by married women especially red like dark color. The female khat has many pleats. The styles are of the type also worn in all over the world especially in Afghanistan. The silk and velvet fabric used to make these dresses in rich color. The printed cotton and rayon fabrics in bright colors are used in summer season. The combination of color is too much incredibly attractive.
