Punjabi Culture Dresses Of Pakistan

Punjab is recongnize from different unique and aspects. Punjab is called the land of five rivers. Punjabi people who are distributed throughout the world. It is one of the oldest and richest cultures in th world history The traditional and Punjabi Culture Dresses of Pakistan are very colourful and vibrant. Women usually wear Salwar kameez, their clothes are intricately designed. It can be beautifully embroidered at homes in multi colours. Men wear a Turban with great pride. Initially, Kurta is worn on the upper body, and Tehmat which are the baggy and balloon-ish.  Mens can wear kameez with both Shalwar and Pyjamas as a combination.                             

MEN CLOTHING DRESS:

From many years ago, Punjabi men wear the straight-cut punjabi shalwar kameez,kurta and dhoti,lungi or tehmat. Punjabi male persons wear shalwar styles in various style like the pothohari shalwar,multani shalwar,dhoti shalwar,and bhawalpuri shalwar which is very wide and baggy. The villagers would like to use with many folds. Turban of thin cloth, it is called pagri. This is show the symbol of elder people like Chaudhary.

Punjabi Tamba And Kurta:

Chola

                  The chola is a long outfit which is same as like to gown. It is worn by women and men and can reach the ankles, or might be fell just below the knees. The tradition chola is closed by loops and is tied on either shoulder. But the modern chola opens at the  front below  the neck,is closed  with buttons, and is worn like a kurta.

Suthan

The trend of suthan is used in the punjab region from accient times. It is also reffered to as svasthana reffered to a lower garment which can be a type of trouser. The suthan is a male and female garment but its use is particularly and worn by women with a kurti or kurta.it is also a part of the punjabi ghagra outfit.

Churidar Pajama:

The churidar Pajama is not locally use in ancient time. But it is the traditionally belong with northern region of the sub-continent. There is no specific consensus as to its origins, the churidar pajama was adopted by the former prince famillies. ln th Punjab, churidar pajama can be wear on specific culture events nowadays.

Punjabi Ghutanna:

The punjabi ghuttana was famous in Punjab and it can be worn by both women and men. It is a type of pajama which is shorter as compare the length of pajama. It is tight and ends at the calf. Now thre are lots of variation in this style.

Turban

The turban is very famous and Punjabi culture dress of Pakistan. It is use to identify the people belong to punjab and traditional costume. Many years ago the people wore very long trabans round about 40 feet long. Now turban can be use in various styles.

Bahawalpur Shalwar Suit:

The bahawalpur shalwar represent the culture of the bhawalpur region of punjab, Pakistan. The bhawalpuri shalwar is very wide and baggy with many voluminous folds. The material traditionally used for the bahawalpuri shalwar is known as sufi which is a mixture of cotton. The bahawalpuri shalwar is worn with the bahawalpur style kameez,the punjabi kurta or chola.

Shalwar Kameez:

The shalwar kameez is of the casual and decent dress of Punjab. It can be worn all over the world. The people of Punjab feel comfortable in this dress. It provides a unique look. The shalwar kameez can be worn in every kind of stuff with multiple colors like cotton, wool, and khaddar etc.

Churidar and kurta:

Churidar kurta is common and unique clothing for women of Punjab. This is the traditional Punjabi culture dress of Pakistan. This style of dress of women is widely spread and is worn all over Pakistan. This is a highly comfortable dress and it can be wear like mahendi events with kameez as well as frok also.

Shalwar Kameez:

Shalwar kameez is the traditional Punjabi culture dress of Pakistan. Punjabi women, specific girls felt comfortable in wearing the shalwar kameez. This shalwar kameez is Islamic women dress of Pakistan. This kind of dressing allows maximal movement easily. It’s not much costly everyone easily wears. It represents the culture attachment.

Punjabi Ghagra:

One of the basic traditional dresses that has been modernised is the Punjabi ghagra. This attire is mostly donned during ‘Giddha’ a famous folk dance of Punjab. The punjabi ghagra is another traditional dress of Punjab. Women of Punjab are like to wear on wedding occasions. But in village the women are used as casual wear. Ghagra is adding richness to the feminity of Punjab of Pakistan. The trends of ghagra are increasing day by day. It can be wearing and adopted in various styles.

Patiala Shalwar:

This baggy and pleated trouser has its roots in the city of Punjab called Patiala and was initially donned by men. But later it became a part of women’s attire also. Involving various modern designs, it still keeps in touch with the tradition it was introduced with kameez and dupatta. It is one of the easiest and comfortable dresses worn by the Punjabi women.

The Jama:

During the Mughal’s time the Jama is a long piece was worn by the men in the Punjab. It is worn with a turban on the head reflecting royalty and the majestic nature of the kings. It was basically a dress for the men but was also worn by women with tight-fitting pajama consisting style. It allows freedom of movement, making it another comfortable traditional attire of Punjab.

Parandi :

Parandi or Paranda is a hair accessory and used to show the Punjabi culture dresses of Pakistan. It give attractive look to the women of Punjab. In addition to that, it also symbolises love when a bride receives it from her husband as a form of affection. In ancient times Parandis to enhance traditional beauty and make hair look longer in the simplest way.
