Traditional dance of Italy has its important part in Italian culture and traditions. The traditional dances of Italy are the representation of Italic culture and traditions in the world. They like to do their traditional dances in different occasions and special events to show their love to their traditional as well as their dances has special meanings and steps that show special messages or represent an old folk tales. There are three different types of Italy traditional dances

There are different names that comes in history who introduce dances in italy abd the most famous name that comes is dante who first introduce italian dances.
Tarantella:
It s the most famous dances among the traditional dances of Italy mostly in the southern Italy. It is done by the group of people that dance togather in a circle the word tarantella is derived from the word tarantula which is the name of wolf spider whose bite contain the extreme venome in it.and the condition called tarantism the dance is know called as tarantella the logic behind this dance is like that the by doing this tarantella as a cure from the spider bite called tarantulla.this dance is done by the couple or couples in the shorter duration which is quiet elegant and beautiful it can be done by victim itself.it is ruffled in character and can be done by an hour or by ten days continuously and sometimes also done with the sword there is another type called tarantella ballet is ballet dance in which orchestra and musical instruments like paino can be used .
Pizzica:
Pizzzica is a traditonal dance of Italy which is first started in Apulia.this dance is also about the sting or bite of spider but this time all the people gathered and done this dance in order to get rid from the poisnoun for a person who is suffering from this.this dance is done in a pair or between partner.this is not neccessary that partner should be from the opposite sex but is also done between girl with girl or boys with boy. But now a days it has become rare to see mens dancing pizzica and his also happened sometimes that men dressed like girl and perform the entire dance asnd sometimes dance also show the fight between partners but jokingly.
Saltarello:
Saltarello is also a traditional dances of Italy and mostly foundn in the parts of Abruzzo,Lazio a nd Marche.it is one of the oldest dance in the history of italian dances.dance is name after the word (jump) because it includes lots of jumps during the dance.the dance is done by the couples in which women holds her skirt or apron on the oppposite side of men.The dance includes fast and quicks step..
Now talking about the northern Italy;
Ndrezzata;
It is the traditional dance of Italy in the northern Italy. The dance is brought by the migrants and it was usually done in the streets on the island of Ischia. This dance was done by the almost 16 dancers which includes both men and women by the assistance of drum, flute and songs.
Istria:
Istria is the traditional dance in the northern Italy. Italian culture has resembles the many Istria dancer into the northern Italy It includes the dances that done in the modern days. The dance consist of six dancers that includes two trios one man between two women dance is done on the rhythm of violin and cello.
